Live blogging the American Idol results show February 21, 2008

Four singers will be eliminated tonight!

Paula Abdul says that prior "pro" experience doesn't matter. She even drops Kelly Clarkson's name as someone who had prior deal before joining Idol. Yikes. Sounds like damage control.

Simon Cowell says he wasn't using reverse psychology with his comments about Carly Smithson.

Group song: OMG! They look so good in the suits! Woohoo!

Ramiele Malubay looks so cute!

Results:

Garrett Haley is eliminated!

That was brutal. Ryan Seacrest calls him as if to talk to him and then in the middle of the interview says that he has been eliminated. Man, tough way to leave for Garrett Haley.

Kristy Lee Cook is safe! (Ryan fakes her out by calling her first)

Amy Davis is eliminated!

Here are some video clips while I turn the mute on my TV as Amy Davis sings "Where the Boys Are":

Damage Control:

Group Song:

Top 24 Montage "What About Now":

Promoting "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow" by Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson. They show the video. Here's the video. Go Paula Abdul!

Paula you're my American Idol!

OK, elimination time. Ryan calls Amanda Overymer and Joanne Borgella. Everyone back on the sofa are safe.

Commercial break. Whatev!

Back!

Joanne Borgella is eliminated!

I love you Joanne! You are beautiful! Good luck!

Chikezie and Colton Berry are called up. (Damn I just got one guy in the pool wrong!)

Colton Berry is eliminated!

Simon Cowell purposely being brutal now. Whatev. Basically he is trying to show now that he not favoring anyone (like he was during Hollywood Week). Look for him to be very critical of Carly Smithson until a pre-determined "turning point" in the Top 12.

Thanks for visiting everyone!
