American Idol 7 - Morning After - iTunes Charts - 05/01/08 - UPDATE!
Okay kids, I am officially pressing the PANIC BUTTON. [Press]
David Archuleta's "Sweet Caroline" has now been passed by "I Am... I Said" by Brooke White and "Forever in Blue Jeans" by Jason Castro. OMG. These song choices are ruining everything! For the love of god Archuleta people! You don't need to preach to the choir anymore because they will vote for David no matter what he sings. Heck, a lot of the Archey Angels are convinced that "Sweet Caroline" is David's best recording ever. But please, there are still a couple of weeks left. Let David Archuleta sing an upbeat song like "Shop Around" where he looks like he is really having fun, or if it is going to be a ballad, something that the general public might enjoy, like "Imagine".
I can't even recommend to buy "Sweet Caroline" as a gift for friends since it's such a poor song choice. How are we supposed to rally around "Sweet Caroline" without looking like we've lost our minds? "Sweet Caroline" is not the song that will help us convince others to vote for David Archuleta. I'm so frustrated. ("Here listen to 'Sweet Caroline,' it's the most awesome song I've ever heard in my life!" -- Just. Doesn't. Make. Sense.)
Waaaaa... I thought we had stronger purchasing power than this. Brooke White is outselling us today, what the heck? She got eliminated for crying out loud -- and David Archuleta is supposed to have the most dedicated fans this season! Arghh!
2 Choices: Try to salvage "Sweet Caroline" or concentrate on the Rock N Roll songs next week... looking up the list now...

UPDATE: 6:32 PM -- So 30 minutes after posting this, "Sweet Caroline" has passed "I Am... I Said" and is back at #2. Whew! Thank you Archey Angels! Hopefully we can keep it on that spot for the rest of the day.
