American Idol 7 - Morning After - iTunes Chart - David Cook Produces Second Mega-Hit

David Cook's "Always Be My Baby" is the #1 download for this week's songs and is currently #6 in all of iTunes. Wow. I anticipate this track to be #1 by the end of the day. The David Cook "collection" has also seen an increase in downloads, proving that "the bump" is not exclusive to Jason Castro.

Since we know that American Idol does not consider iTunes sales in their elimination order -- Michael Johns is still out-selling Syesha Mercado, Kristy Lee and Carly -- David Archuleta still has a shot at winning this thing. But his inability to produce a mega-hit since "Imagine" should be a cause for concern. There are still 5 more weeks. Perhaps Andrew Lloyd Webber week?

Also: These charts have proven to be legit, as Apple has now blocked the songs from being searched on iTunes. We will no longer have the weekly charts (unless we figure something out). For now we are stuck with the dailies from the iMixes which is still good enough.

Apparently, they really read Rickey.org. I'm shocked! Hello Fox intern! I love this show!
