American Idol 11 Top 7 Redux - Results - Live Blog - April 19, 2012

Tonight is the American Idol 11 Top 7 (again) results show on April 19, 2012! As far as musical guests go, we have Kris Allen performing "The Vision of Love" and LMFAO hitting the stage with "Sorry for Party Rockin.'" It's gonna be a great night of music! Only ONE contestant is getting the boot because of Jermaine being DQ'd several weeks ago. So, who’s going home?

You guys here at Rickey.org have predicted the bottom 3 to be: Elise, Hollie, and Colton. Elise is the pick to go home. Sigh.

My love for Elise runs deep, but even I know that she's on borrowed time. There is an obvious disconnect between her and America. Last night, she gave a stellar performance with "No One," but her rendition of "Let's Get It On" was polarizing. I hope voters saw how the judges backed their bus on top of her last night.

Anyways, I will be live blogging the results as they happen. So, come back soon and often for a rundown of all the action.

We are reminded that Randy thinks the talent on this show is better than on any other TV show. Heh.

OH. 53 Million votes came in last night. I do believe this is the first time he's ever mentioned the vote count this season. Hmm.

Musical Performance - "Dancing in the Street" by Martha and the Vandellas

Skylar starts out the cheesy action tonight. Then, Phillip joins in, and slowly the rest of the Top 7 join in. I just love these group performances. Results night just aren't the same without them. This isn't a complete trainwreck, and Elise sounds great on this, especially the bridge. OMG, look at all the colorful balloons!

Ford Music Video - "Stars" - They are driving cars out in the middle of nowhere and looking at the different constellations -- which turn out to be THEM. Very cool. Elise and Jessica make great stars. :)

Musical Performance - Kris Allen - "The Vision of Love"

I adore this song. He's sitting at a piano on a rotating platform. There you go, man. Show 'em how it's done! Gosh, I miss him on this show. His falsetto is heavenly. OK, I'll stop fanboy-ing...or not. Midway through, he gets up and touches hands with the audience. Swoon.

These guys are ridic. I can't really take them seriously, but they are a good time. It's funny that Nigel has "artists" like this on a singing show. OMG. There's a zebra!!!
