American Idol 11 - Top 7 Redux Power List

This week, American Idol's Top 7 (again) will take on two songs each. First will be a Billboard No. 1 hit and then a soul song from a previous decade. This should be the true test for these contestants. Will the be able to handle the pressure?

Before we get to their performances tonight, I've broken down the Top 7. Plus, I offer a few words of advice for each contestant. Check out the song spoilers for tonight.

1. Colton Dixon A few weeks ago, I would not have pegged him as the winner, but he's gaining steam. If he continues to show off his artistry and do something different with his arrangements, he could very well topple PP as the winner of season 11. Tonight, he needs to wow the crowd with an inventive take on his Billboard No. 1. Spoilers indicate that he will.

2. Phillip Phillips - He's losing out to Colton as we speak. He has yet to really stretch himself out of the box. He always plays the guitar and what he really needs to do is show his versatility. Tonight, he needs to do something unexpected that will cause America to give him another once over.

3. Jessica Sanchez - After hitting the bottom (and being saved) last week, I imagine the producers will be pimping her to the max this week. Regardless, the best she can hope for is a Top 3 finish, unless she has a true Idol moment. Her group performance from Las Vegas of "It Doesn't Matter Anymore" was stellar and proved she could emote. She has yet to deliver on the live shows. Technically, she's perfect, but she needs to move America as a whole. Tonight, she needs to redeem herself and come out guns ablazin'.

4. Skylar Laine - The resident Country singer seems to be gaining more fans by the week. She's only landed in the bottom once, and that's a good indication that America loves her. Week after week, she's delivered solid to stellar performances. Tonight, she needs a true Idol moment and to do something different and unexpected. One wrong move and she could land in the bottom again.

5. Joshua Ledet - Somehow after his electric performance of "Runaway Baby" last week, he managed to hit the bottom three. His time may be limited if he doesn't up his game this week. The Black Diva who never dies may be coming to an end soon. Tonight, he needs to let go completely on an emotional ballad and get those speed dialers calling in for him.

6. Hollie Cavanagh - Hollie is still sailing after the judges' harsh criticisms last week. However, I'm not sure how long that can last. Either her or Elise will be going home this week. Hollie is too robotic and you can see her thinking too much when she's performing. If it's possible, she needs to let go of her insecurities tonight and wow us. I doubt it will happen, though.

7. Elise Testone - Unfortunately, America just doesn't dig this girl. She had a couple really superb performances with "Vienna" and "Whole Lotta Love," but has failed to really deliver to the same level. For some reason, voters keep her to a higher standard than anyone else in the competition. Tonight, she needs an Idol moment that will catapult her higher in the crowd. COME ON GIRL YOU CAN DO IT!
