American Idol 11 Top 5 - Results - Live Blog - May 3, 2012
Tonight is the American Idol 11 Top 5 results show on May 3, 2012! As far as musical guests go, we have the incredible Carrie Underwood and Coldplay hitting the stage!!! It’s gonna be a great night of music! So, who’s going home?
You guys here at Rickey.org have predicted the bottom 3 to be: Hollie, Phillip, and Skylar. Phillip is the pick to go home. (If my dreams come true)

To be honest, I have no clue who is going home tonight. It could be any of the five remaining contestants. For a twist, how about we vote to have Elise come back? I fear that one of the girls will be sacrificed to keep PP. You know how much America just loves WGWG.
In other news, I was able to see Carre perform for GMA on Tuesday, and I attended her intimate iHeartRadio concert. You can check out my pics here and here, respectively.
Anyways, I will be live blogging the results as they happen. So, come back soon and often for a rundown of all the action.
This…is AMERICAN IDOL!!!
Oh. A montage set to "Set Fire to the Rain" (Adele). So much drama!

(Starting off early, I see)
Joshua Ledet goes to center stage!
Joshua...is SAFE!!!
Ford Music Video: A fairy tale! They are transformed into magical fairy tale characters!!! So cool!!!
Musical Performance - Coldplay - "Paradise"
This song is from their latest album Mylo Xyloto. I've never been a huge fan of them until I heard this album. Very good. There's a black light (or the effect of it) and so much color everywhere! This isn't my favorite track from the album, but seriously, you need to check it outtttttt.

WGWG FTW! No one can stop the inevitable!!!
Musical Performance - Carrie Underwood - "Blown Away"
OMG. She's performing "Blown Away" the title track from her new album. She's all dressed in white. This is absolutely my favorite song from her new album. It's a must buy. Vocally, she's as great as ever, and yes, I'm biased. Hey contestants, how about you do something like that on the stage, huh? Oh, and they couldn't be less excited. *rolls eyes*
Check out her full performance HERE.

Hollie...is SAFE!!!
Skylar...is ELIMINATED!!!
WOW. I thought she was the best last night. Holy crap. No matter, she'll get a record deal. Wow.
She's singing "Gun Powder and Lead" by Miranda Lambert as her swan song. Man, she will be missed.
I made a prediction during the Top 13. A female will never win this show again. I thought for sure Skylar had a shot at toppling the male domination. I was wrong. If PP can be the worst of the night, and still skate through, what does that say about the state of this show?
So, did the right person get the boot? Who should have gone home instead?
