'American Horror Story: Freak Show' Casts World's Smallest Woman

The cast for American Horror Story: Freak Show is getting bigger through the inclusion of someone very small.

Showrunner Ryan Murphy announced via Twitter that Jyoti Amge has been cast in American Horror Story: Freak Show. Why is this significant? Well, if you don't know Amge by name, she is currently the woman who holds the Guinness Book of World Records title for "World’s Smallest Woman". Amge suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Achondroplasia, which has left her at a height of just 2'6".

Included in the tweet was a photo of Amge side-by-side with co-star Jessica Lange. Check out the tweet and photo below:

American Horror Story: Freak Show, the fourth season of the FX anthology series, will center on the few freak shows still remaining in the 1950s. The cast will include returning vets Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe and Frances Conroy, along with newcomers Michael Chiklis, Wes Bentley, Patti LaBelle and Finn Wittrock.

The new season is scheduled to premiere in October on FX.
