AMC's 1980s computer business drama is premiering sooner rather than later.
Halt and Catch Fire, a drama about the rise of the PC business in Texas in the 1980s, will premiere after the Mad Men finale on June 1, a momentous occasion if ever there was one, since it will be the conclusion of the first half of the iconic show's final season.
Halt and Catch Fire, which will debut in the 10:00 PM time slot, stars Lee Pace and Scoot McNairy as series leads. The show is created by Chris Cantwell and Chris Rogers, with Southland alum Jonathan Lisco serving as showrunner and executive producer alongside Breaking Bad vets Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein.
I'm intrigued by the series less by the subject matter than I am by the talent involved. It should be an interesting series for AMC to add to its lineup.
