'Amazing Spider-Man 2': First look at Jamie Foxx as Electro

By Nick Roman · 2013-04-16

Jamie Foxx hasn't made it a secret that he's excited to be playing the role of Maxwell Dillon, the man who would become the villain "Electro", in the upcoming sequel to last summer's hit, The Amazing Spider-Man.

As an actor, Foxx can certainly be trusted to bring the goods for the role, as the part requires equal parts pathos, humanity and scenery-chewing villainy.

Foxx is already well on his way to immersing himself in the role, as the actor was spotted on-set in full makeup. Though the villain's trademark yellow-and-green suit is not going to be used, this visual interpretation of the character is at least in line with his Ultimate counterpart. Check out the pics below:

Looks appropriately creepy so far, but I find myself far more interested in how they approach Paul Giamatti as Rhino. I guess we'll see soon enough, as the film is shooting now for a target release date of May 2, 2014.
