Ted Cord Amazing Race 01 2011 04 18

The race continues in Vienna, Austria.

  • From India, the teams must take a plane to Vienna

Only the cowboys took a different flight than the other teams. They chose a direct flight instead of one with connections. Their flight arrived 30 minutes later than the rest.

In Vienna, the teams get into their Ford Focus and get their clue from the backup camera. Nice product placement there.

  • The teams head to Schloss Schallaburg.

  • The teams then head to the national library in Vienna.

DETOUR:

Long Hard Walk - Transport a couch for 1 mile

or

Quick and Easy Meal - Pick up two local meals and eat it in a ferris wheel

Omigosh the eating was not as easy at it looked! None of the teams that tried the eating could do it and ended up doing the other side of the detour.

This is when the Cowboys caught up! Yes!

  • The teams drive to Salzburg.

On the drive, Vyxsin screams: "I cannot deal with your psycho behavior."

ROAD BLOCK: Sweep Chimneys

  • Pit Stop: The Von Trapp Villa!

Results!

Zev and Justin was team #1 - what a miracle! They won their own 2012 Ford Focus. The Globetrotters got lost in the end after leading most of the race, too bad.

Gary and Mallory were the last team to arrive. But were not eliminated because it was a non-elimination leg of the race. They get a Speed Bump on the next leg.

Go Cowboys!
