The Gaghan Family - OMG! The all-American family on steroids! Little Carissa is 9 and can run a 7-minute mile. Jeezus.

The Godlewski Family - The sisters team. It was great to see the hormones fly. One moment they're lovie-dovie and then when things gets stressful, they go crazy. Fun, fun, fun. Love them.

The Paolo Family - My favorite! This Italian family from New York is so dysfunctional, I love it! Bless them. A perfect casting.

The Weaver Family - A sentimental favorite. The father died in a motorway accident two years ago and they invoke his spirit during the race.

The Linz family - The siblings, three brawny boys and a brawny girl. As evidenced by the first episode, physical ability alone will not win you this race -- they ended second to last.

The Schroeders - Mr. Schroeder is a wee bit too annoying for me.
The Aiellos - Another all physical team of a father and his sons-in-law.
The Rogers - Southerners out to prove something apparently.
The Bransens - A father and his daughters.
The Blacks - The African American team. Status: Eliminated.
