Amanda Seyfried + Balthazar Getty Join 'Twin Peaks' Revival
Twin Peaks Season 3 -- AKA Showtime's Twin Peaks revival -- has reportedly cast both Amanda Seyfried and Balthazar Getty.
While Seyfried will allegedly take on a mystery (albeit pivotal) role as a brand new character, if rumors are true, Getty may either play a new character or one from the original that's been recast.
Getty previously worked with co-creator and director David Lynch in 1997's Lost Highway.
Both actors will join returning star Kyle MacLachlan, who will once again play Agent Dale Cooper.
Teased the Showtime president of old cast members returning, "You should be optimistic that the people that you want [back] will be there, and then there will be some surprises in addition."
