Amanda Bynes Mentally Unfit to Stand Trial, According to Her Lawyer

The troubles continue to pile up for Amanda Bynes.

Though the troubled actress was set to appear in court over her DUI arrest in West Hollywood in April 2012, her lawyer told TMZ that he has petitioned the court to have Bynes declared mentally unfit to stand trial.

Rich Hutton, the lawyer in question, reportedly told the judge that Bynes does not have "the mental capacity to understand the nature of the legal proceedings."

The judge transferred the matter to the mental health court, and a hearing will be conducted to determine the actress's mental capacity.

Until then, Bynes will continue to receive treatment while under a conservatorship.
