Allison Iraheta Signs Record Deal

Following a hiatus from the music industry, fans of Allison Iraheta now have reason to celebrate. The American Idol finalist and her band Halo Circus have inked a record deal with Manimal Vinyl.

Their debut single will be the song "Gone", the first track the group wrote together.

But now Allison is making a comeback with Halo Circus. "I really have been digging back into my ranchera side, so I've been listening to Roy Orbison a lot and even Paul Williams, but also Rihanna's new stuff, which is very heartfelt," Allison said. "A lot of what I'm writing is heartfelt and also the story of where I came from."

The "Gone" official single will contain the radio edit of the track, a version in Allison's native Spanish language, and a stripped-down garage version using only circa-1961 technology, inspired by Allison's hero Roy Orbison. The four-song Manimal/Badlands single will be available via iTunes and Spotify on October 8, with a full-length album slated for early 2014. Congratulations to Allison and her band!
