All The Right Moves - Series Premiere - Full Video and Review

Have you been eagerly anticipating the debut of All the Right Moves? Emmy nominated choreographer Travis Wall has joined forces with lifelong dance buddies Nick Lazzarini (So You Think You Can Dance Winner), Teddy Forance (Featured choreographer for Dancing with the Stars), and Kyle Robinson (Julliard-trained and Featured choreographer for Dancing with the Stars) to start their own dance company, Shaping Sound. Oxygen's new documentary reality program will feature the trials and tribulations of their journey towards big-time success in the dance world.

As someone who knows very little about the world of dance, I can honestly say that I enjoyed the show. Four best friends decide they want to dance together, work together, and get paid to do it. Money, of course, is always a massive issue in the art world. Also, talent, recognition, and accolades end up throwing the team's hierarchy out of whack, whether they like it or not. Travis finds himself caught in a battle between "Shaping Sound" and "Travis Wall's Shaping Sound." Nobody wants to be a backup dancer, and it doesn't look like any of these guys deserve to be. In the end, the focus always seem to loop back around to best friends going after their big dreams.

They live in this beautiful makeshift frat house dubbed "The Manor." Who has time to throw away rotten food in the fridge when you have a dance company to start up, anyway? I found Travis to be endearing and ambitious, Nick to be very funny, Teddy to be very bright, and Kyle to be the greek chorus, of sorts. It was interesting to watch a group of very talented guys plan an investor showcase to debut their company. There doesn't seem to be any bloated egos in the mix, just some conflicts of talent and artistic vision. The process of founding a dance company seems both exciting and arduous. Best of luck, guys!
