Opal (Jill Larson) is rightfully at home as the Pine Valley matriarch as she and Palmer's son, Pete (Robert Scott Wilson) came home at Opal's request to take over and revitalize Cortlandt Electronics. Pete is hesistant at first, but after bumping into Celia (Jordan Lane Prince) he begins to want to stay in Pine Valley a little bit longer. Celia is a young lady attending a mysterious private school with a mysterious benefactor and guardian who doesn't want her doing anything! Evelyn (Francesca James) who seems to be the head mistress at the school doesn't want her either but gives into her wishes in to trying to get her guardian to let her live a little. However it doesn't work! Opal learns that Celia is Brooke (Julia Barr)'s intern at the Miranda Center and that she ran into Pete. She deletes Celia's file in order to get Pete to come fix it but they still miss each other again! However Pete looks up some information about her and delivers Celia lots of gifts and appears under her window to take her on a date!

Adam (David Canary) proposes to Brooke! The Adam, Brooke and Opal scenes were really great and bridges the gap. I almost felt like I was coming home from school and sitting in their living rooms. Right now the teen storyline consists of the bestfriend relationship between Miranda (Denyse Tontz) and AJ (Eric Nelsen). We can all tell that AJ likes Miranda but she likes someone else. Miranda's mom Bianca (Eden Riegel) pops in to talk to her daughter and visits the grave of her ex-fiance, Marrisa, who we now know died in the Chandler Mansion shooting at the end of the ABC run. Miranda goes on a date with a jerk named Hunter who wants to have a threesome with her and another girl. He thinks she's into it because her mom is a lesbian. Miranda gets upset, walks off, as AJ who also came to the coffee shop, proceeds to punch him in the face.

All the details are still fuzzy from that incident but David (Vincent Irizarry) is back in town. It is revealed that he shot JR and it seems that JR was the one who shot Marissa. David was supposed to be locked up for a while, but Angie (Debbi Morgan) testified on behalf of him in front of the parole board as everyone knows it was an accident. The first thing David does when he gets out of jail is confront Cara (Lindsay Hartley) who secretly did something to their baby. However she is freaking out that David may come back and when he actually does, they talk about it and she tells him she lost it. She confides in over protective brother Griff (Jordi Vilauso) that David can't find out the truth. David later sees JR (Ryan Bittle) who is on life support. He threatens to pull the plug on him but tthen says that he is in jail just like him and doesn't need to die yet. However, JR begins moving his finger and David is afraid he will wake up soon.

On the note of Angie and Jessie (Darnell Williams), the supercouple was front in center on our screens happy with their life eating strawberries laid up on the couch. Jessie is trying to surprise Angie with her daughter Cassandra (Sal Stowers), but Cassandra never made it to Pine Valley! From footage at the airport it seems that someone did pick up Cass from the airport - and the car is track to the Hubbards' old friend Zach Slater (Thorsten Kaye). Zach comes to Pine Valley to help Jesse get to the bottom of everything and warns Jesse that the Russian mob has something to do with this and that is the reason why Kendall and the kids left him! Meanwhile, Cassandra is being beat while tied to the bed. Is this some sort of Russian sex slavery ring?
As I stated before, without the kinks, All My Children would be completely on point. Right now the teen scene is a little bit iffy and their dialogue isn't edgy at all. I'm going to need for them to write and style both Miranda and AJ better and just upgrade them in general. It seems like Cassandra, Pete and Celia may be intergrate with them at some point, so I hope that works. David and Cara has started off good but I just hope it doesn't get over the top. Their opening is pretty decent. I like the format but it could have been tweaked a little bit then looking like Windows Movie Maker, and the song could be changed too. But we shouldn't care. The show has returned! Other than those main points, nothing else to say other than AMC Is back!
