Alexandra Shipp replaces Zendaya on Aaliyah TV Movie
Alexandra Shipp has replaced Zendaya on the Aaliyah biopic on Lifetime. The Nickelodeon actress will be playing the late R&B singer after Zendaya quit the project last month.
The project is scheduled to film this summer with a fall premiere date.
Meanwhile Wendy Williams has also joined the biopic as executive producer. She announced the news via Twitter:

Alexandra Shipp has starred in Nickelodeon's House of Anibus where she plays the role of KT Rush and has guest starred in Switched at Birth, Awkward and Ray Donovan.
The 23-year-old actress has also appeared in the film Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel as Valentina.
