Alec Baldwin in Talks for Late-Night Talk Show

Alec Baldwin is the latest big name being considered for a late-night hosting gig. NBC has apparently been considering the actor for one of its later time slots, the spot currently occupied by Carson Daly's Last Call. The network's evening schedule is in a state of flux following Jimmy Fallon's official move to The Tonight Show next year.

Not a bad choice at all, if Baldwin is actually considering a move into the world of hosting. I remember reading a line from an interview with Men's Journal a few years back where he stated that he's not too proud of his film career as an actor and that he was growing tired of that line of work all together. I personally still consider him to be at his peak, so hosting seems like a great new direction.
