Although 30 Rock has come to an end, Alec Baldwin is already returning to NBC.

Baldwin will return to television in a guest starring role on an upcoming episode of Law & Order: SVU. He is set to make his appearance in an episode that will mark the directorial debut of Emmy-winning star Mariska Margitay. NBC is keeping the specifics of Baldwin's role under wraps, but his episode is scheduled to air this spring. The show is currently on hiatus due to the Winter Olympics, but the series is set to return with new episodes Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 9:00 PM ET on NBC.

Should be an interesting episode, if nothing else. Baldwin has a commanding on-screen presence that will likely lend itself well to the narrative stylings of Law & Order: SVU.
