Albert Pujols to sign with Los Angeles Angels, 10 years $250 million
Albert Pujols has agreed to sign with the Los Angeles Angels, ESPN reports. The deal is said to be worth $250 million for 10 years with a full no-trade clause. The Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals were the two other teams bidding for Pujols. ESPN has a nice bit of perspective on this deal: Arte Moreno paid only $184 million for the Angels franchise in 2003. Pujols is now worth more than the entire team!
The Angels also agreed to sign pitcher C.J. Wilson.
