Akira live-action film featuring white actors has been shelved

This is such good news! The Akira movie I've been railing about is officially shelved.

The director left in May and has hot been replaced. And now Chris Weston, an artist who had been working on designs for the movie revealed details in his blog about various redesigns before the project "floundered". So it looks like no one is working on the movie and we can all rest easy that Tetsuo will not be renamed Travis and played by that f*ckin guy from Twilight.

Go Akira! You are safe from Hollywood for now.
