African American Film Critics Association Awards 2013 - Full Winners List

The African American Film Critics Association has named its top picks for 2013, and their choices aren't what you might expect. In particular, likely Oscar nominee Sandra Bullock has won her first award of the awards season, earning Best Actress for her performance in Gravity. Meanwhile, Jared Leto earned momentum towards a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination with his win here for Dallas Buyers Club. Also, Lee Daniels' The Butler made up for its Golden Globes shutout by earning awards for Forest Whitaker and Oprah Winfrey as Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress, respectively.

But the big story is 12 Years A Slave, which swept with four awards, including Best Picture and Best Director for Steve McQueen, further solidifying its dominant frontrunner status for the Academy Awards. You can check out the full list of winners below via The Film Experience:
