Adlicious - International Spotlight - X Factor (Netherlands)

Adlicious is a 3 piece singing group made of Laise Sanches, Shirley Spoor, and Jordy van Toornburgwho just recently competed on the latest version of X Factor Netherlands. They met at the Rotterdam Conservatory and have been together for just last four years, each having gained much experience as backing vocalists for various artists such as Extince, Kyteman, Charlene, Michael Bolton and Chaka Khan.

Now here's what I like about them:

If you pay attention to my comments here on Rickey.org, it is pretty clear that I'm really not a fan, nor have I been sold on the prospect of Groups competing on X Factor and shows like it. ...However, Adlicious just abouts gets me there. Though I doubt X Factor US will have the balls to do it, what I like about them is that they have no gimmick. They're not frolicking around trying to be the next "big" boyband, or some pseudo reincarnation of Destiny's Child or the Pussy Cat Dolls. They are just what they are. 3 friends who love to singing, do it well, and then grouped together to just plain kick ass.

If we could get groups like this on X Factor US or even on the UK incarnation, I think it would just plain be incredible. I don't think it'll be happening though, unfortunately ---and as it turns out, they actually did audition for the UK version just a little over a year ago. They didn't make it past the 2nd round.

Anywho...enough of me babbling, check them out:

I Can't Make You Love Me

Candyman

I'm pretty positive that as a group of three, they'd easily be champions of The Sing Off.

Firework

I love the extremely flamboyant judge that jumps up first, and then on the table at the end of the performance. We need someone like him on Idol.

Bohemian Rhapsody

Mas Que Nada

Earth Song

They're just plain incredible! They placed 2nd only to the lovely Rochell Perts. Also, as though to not take anything from her, I would have given them the crown myself.
