Adam Richman Show Postponed Following Instagram Rant

Adam Richman, who gained a significant amount of weight during his time as host of Man v. Food, recently made headlines by losing all the weight, and slimming down to GQ proportions. Even better for Richman, The Travel Channel gave him a brand new show to go along with his new look. However, an impulsive Instagram rant could end up blowing it all.

Richman's new show, Man Finds Food, was set to premiere tonight, July 2nd, on The Travel Channel. However, the premiere has now been postponed indefinitely, and while the network has not commented on the reason for the delay, the timing suggests that the cause is Richman's horrifying online tirade.

Several weeks ago, Richman posted a photo of his weight loss to his Instagram account and used the hashtag #thinspiration. Some of his followers immediately took to the comments to inform him that the term "thinspiration" is "very popular in pro-anorexia and pro-bulimia circles," according to blogger and adipose activist Amber Sarah. Richman responded with the acronym "DILLIGAF?" which translates to "Do I Look Like I Give A F---?"

And it got much, much worse from there.

"Give me a f------ break," he wrote to one commenter. "If anyone acts like a c--- I’ll call them one. It’s not misogyny, it’s calling a spade a spade.”

To another, he wrote: “Seriously - grab a razor blade & draw a bath. I doubt anyone will miss you.”

"Oh eat a bag of s---, dummy," he wrote to a third commenter. “No apology is coming … Only f---up it seems was your Dad’s choice to go without a condom.”

Naturally, Travel Channel was mortified. Although Richman eventually did apologize, the damage had already been done. Yet that didn't prevent his apologetic statement from making the rounds. He wrote: "I’ve long struggled with my body image and have worked hard to achieve a healthy weight. I’m incredibly sorry to everyone I’ve hurt."

No word on when Man Finds Food will premiere, and it's beginning to seem as though it's possible that Richman has talked himself right out of a show. So yeah...maybe be careful what you say on social media? Not being a jerk really shouldn't be that hard.
