Adam Lambert - Swastika Jacket Auction

Is this the latest scandal? Will the media report this? Thanks Vote for the Worst for the find...

Adam Lambert successfully auctioned off a jacket he wore on the American Idol tour for $2000. The winner just won a jacket with 2 swastikas on it. Wasn't the swastika a symbol of the Nazis? Or was it used here as the Hindu-thing? Someone explain!
