From Girls to Grayson? It's a bit of a leap, but it just might be a glimpse into the future for Adam Driver.

The Girls star is reportedly in the running for the role of Nightwing in Man of Steel 2, which will be a Batman/Superman crossover story. Nightwing is Dick Grayson, the original Robin, now grown-up and fighting crime on his own in Batman-esque fashion. With the character's involvement, this is feeling less and less like a Man of Steel sequel and more like a prequel to the Justice League movie Warner Bros. is rumored to have in the works, as the studio is looking to create a film franchise with DC Comics to rival that of the expansive Marvel Cinematic Universe.

There are other actors, whose identities are unknown at the moment, who are also in the running for the big part, but Driver is considered by many to be the frontrunner, at the moment.

The currently-untitled sequel to Man of Steel, which will feature both Batman and Superman, is scheduled to hit theaters in July 17, 2015.
