Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo are Officially Married

After a very public proposal during last season's American Idol 11 finale, the singing competition series can now officially claim its first successful couple. Alums Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo are married! The couple wed on Saturday, June 1st 2013.

The two met on the set of the Broadway revival of Hair, and have remained inseparable ever since. The two were married in Los Angeles' Luxe Sunset Boulevard hotel, and fellow alums Kevin Covais, Elliot Yamin, and Michael Johns were among the 230 guests in attendance. Fred Bronson, contributor to The Hollywood Reporter, officiated the ceremony. As he put,

It was solemn in places, funny in others… Lots of tears; lots of laughs. It was an uplifting, celebratory vibe throughout… Many guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to.

The newlyweds wrote their own vows and chose Led Zeppelin's "All My Love" as their recessional music. DeGarmo, in a Sareh Nouri gown, was walked down the aisle by her brother David, who'd recently been deployed overseas. You can relive Ace's proposal on the Idol finale below.
