ABC Replacing 'Killer Women'

After two weeks of utterly abysmal ratings, ABC is shortening the run for Killer Women, the Sofia Vergara-produced crime drama adapted from Argentine series Mujeres Asesinas. In its place, ABC has moved up the premiere for Mind Games, its new midseason drama from executive producer Kyle Killen.

Mind Games was originally scheduled to debut on March 11 at 10 p.m., but the series will now premiere on Feb. 25 at 10 p.m., a decision made after Killer Women, starring Battlestar Galactica's Tricia Helfer, premiered to a disheartening 0.9 rating among adults 18-49. It's a key demo rating that actually slipped further in week two, as the most recent episode brought in an unfortunate 0.7 rating.

Those are numbers that would have gotten the show axed immediately in the fall, but midseason is a different game entirely. Still, the show has virtually no hope of a second season, and it's just as well given the abysmal second episode.
