Aaron Johnson made his name playing Kick-Ass, a kid who aspires to become like the characters he reads about in comic books. But now the actor has graduated to playing an actual Marvel Comics character.
Johnson has signed on to play Quicksilver in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, the upcoming sequel to the record-smashing 2012 blockbuster The Avengers. And he won't be alone among newcomers to the ensemble.

Samuel L. Jackson confirmed that Elizabeth Olsen has been cast as the Scarlet Witch, the sister of Quicksilver.
In an interview with Total Film, Johnson discussed the background of the new additions to the film. "There's years - over 50 years - of backstory on [Quicksilver] all there to use, and I like doing that. Him and his sister [Scarlet Witch] have been abandoned by their parents and their father, and they grew up in Eastern Europe defending and looking out for themselves and each other."
Johnson elaborates, “His sister really is his guidance - emotionally she's the one who looks after him, and vice versa. He's very overprotective physically - he doesn't want anyone touching her.”
The Avengers: Age Of Ultron hits theaters on May 1, 2015.
