Aaron Carter beaten up by New Kids on the Block fans

It's a boy band beef!

ABC News reports that Aaron Carter, brother of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, was beaten up in Boston this past weekend by a group of fans repping New Kids on the Block (a sentence I never thought I'd ever have occasion to type).

Carter had reportedly just had dinner with a friend on Saturday night when a man approached and said: “I heard you’re doing a show here tomorrow. This is the town of the New Kids,” at which point three other men jumped out of a gold Chevrolet Malibu and started beating on the singer.

On Sunday, Carter, 25, tweeted: “It’s true, I got my ass jumped last night. But I’m a soldier.. Errrrr”

The singer posted images of his bruised face and knuckles on Instagram, and tweeted: “Eh @jordanknight this one of your homies? He got his a– handed to him last night but his boys got me.”

Carter later clarified that he was making a joking reference to Boston when he tweeted about Knight, a member of the New Kids on the Block. Carter also tweeted that he is “a 6th degree black belt in Muay Thai.. They lost.” The singer apparently did not inform police about the incident, because what justice among boy band warriors is more swift and satisfying than street justice?

For now, let's hope the mayor of Boston has the good sense to plant an NKOTB flag in the city soil to prevent this kind of territorial misunderstanding from happening again. For truly, no one goes harder than boy band fans.
