Aaliyah feat. Drake - Enough Said - MP3 Listen
Drake's odd and scary obsession with beloved R&B singer Aaliyah has come to an overwhelming new low peak. After claiming last week that he would executive produce the fallen singer's posthumous album, it seems as someone has really given Mr. October the keys to the throne as he has released the first product of his work with her sound, entitled "Enough Said."
Let's just start off with what's good. Noah "40" Shebib's production does compliment Aaliyah's haunting vocals, and it really does sound like something she would record in 2012 if she were still alive. Aaliyah's smooth vocals sound better than ever and it is truly great to her lovely voice once again. If there is anything coming out of this new music coming out from her, we know that it is going to be good just because of Ms. Haughton's gem.
Now lets get to what is wrong about this whole debacle. That gem of a voice alone is the savior of the song as Drake came with trash.Ok, Drake you did good arranging the production, but this verse was not the business and the feud between he and Chris Brown should have NEVER touched this record. If Drake wanted to take it upon himself and bring Aaliyah back, he should have just left his verses on the sequel to Take Care. If the full version of this is to be a single and released, he should really just have solo Aaliyah.
All I know is someone please bring Missy Elliot and Timbaland to help produce this posthumous album. I will dare not take another album full of the typical understated, love-stricken, sad & sobby Drake music. Coming from Drake, who I remind you, didn't even know Aaliyah, her work is better left to those who worked with her, and even more importantly, knew her best. Aaliyah fans, and fans of music, please do not let her legacy be ruined. Good song for what it is, but Drake needs to just leave it at this, or let those said above come and take over assist
