7 Million.

Last Sunday, we got our 7 millionth visitor. A lot of things happened last Sunday so I forgot to mention it. But I just want to thank everyone who have supported this blog through the years and those who have recently "discovered" me for one reason or another. It gives me great blogging joy when someone e-mails me that they've been reading since the wall-to-wall Fantasia Barrino days and would just want to say thank you. Or when the Apolo Anton Ohno fans all of a sudden think I'm so cool. Or when a stranger on a bus calls me by name and thanks me because she's an Elliott Yamin fan. There used to be a time when I had to defend myself personally when some troll loses his or her mind and starts rambling in the comments. But these days, even when I make some terrible mistakes (or when I seemingly lose my own mind), others come to my aid. Not that I wouldn't defend myself anymore and I have, but it gives me great comfort to know that there are people who have my back in my own blog. I couldn't ask for anything more -- and what an experience this blog has been for me -- I can even blog about it! [smiley!]

So to everyone, thank you. 7 million is just a number, and it's not money, but it's really awesome that while I'm hacking away on my keyboard in a tiny room in Harlem, somebody -- well a lot of somebodys -- are listening.
